Due to the ruggedness and strength of this 10″ x 4.5″ PP sediment water filter, it is perfect for use with prefiltering prior to various water filter systems. Such as: filtering hard well water, aquariums, pond KOI etc.
Its large diameter of 4.5″ allows for more effective filtering of sediment, ruse, dirt and particles from your water than a standard size filter.
Can be used as a pre-filter protector of any UV Filter, water softener or any other system for added protection against sediment and particle build-up. Excellent cartridge for filtering spring well hard water (installed after the pump and before the water softener, if there is one).
